Livingston Water Violates Federal Standard

No Cause For Alarm, Officials Say

Some water customers in Livingston have been calling city hall with concerns after they received a notice last week from the city that the town’s water system had violated a federal drinking water standard.

Mayor Curtis Hayes says about 50 customers out of the 4,500 served by the city have called asking about the situation, but he says he has reassured them and anyone who asks that the water in Livingston is safe.
