Lillian Chitwood White
Lillian Chitwood White, 83 of Moss, passed away March 8 at the Monroe County Medical Center in Tompkinsville, Ky. Funeral services were held on March 11 at Upton-Hay Funeral Home with Bro. Dennis Miller and Dr. Jerry Neal Bean officiating. Interment followed in the Moss Cemetery. Richy Arms, Leon Birdwell, Chris Hamilton, Tom White, David White, Justin Marshall and Bobby Dyer served as active pallbearers. Tabor Dale White, Blake Strong and Charlie Key served as honorary pallbearers. She was born Nov. 7, 1932 in Moss. She was a school teacher who retired from the Clay County Public Schools and an active member of the Moss Church of Christ. She was preceded in death by her parents, Weaver and Alta (Tade) Chitwood. Surviving relatives include her son, James Dale White Jr. and wife Jada of Moss; grandchildren, Emily Jane White, Ellianna Beth White, Tabor Dale White and Lillie Glee White all of Moss; and step-grandson Justin Marshall of Moss. Upton-Hay Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.

Max Edward Endicott

Max Edward Endicott, 79 of the Oak Ridge Community, passed away March 5 at Cookeville Regional Medical Center. Funeral services were held March 7 from the chapel of the Hall Funeral Home of Celina with Kenzie Adams and John Brewer officiating. Interment followed in the Spear Family Cemetery in Moss. Floyd Simpson, Dwight Rich, David, Evan, Tanner and Larry “Bruiser” Endicott served as pallbearers. He was born Dec. 17, 1936 in Atlanta, Ind. He was a veteran of the U.S. Army, 50 year member of the American Legion and a member of the Canton Lodge #481 F&AM. He also volunteered to mow around the Corp property at the Dale Hollow Fish Hatchery. He was preceded in death by his parents, Carry Franklin and Ruth (Duncan) Endicott; wife, Ruth Elizabeth “PeeWee” Spear; brothers, Carey William “Bill,” Charles D. “Pat,” Paul Fredrick “Short,” and Larry Lee Endicott; sisters, Betty Marie Endicott and Ruth Evelyn Ehman. Surviving relatives include his son, David Endicott of Westville, Ind.; daughter, Diane Endicott of Louisville, Ky.; brothers, Donald Endicott of Noblesville, Ind and Joe D. Endicott of Rosenberg, Texas; grandchildren, Aaron, Tanner, Morgan, Evan and Jordan; step-children, Stevie and Jeff Herron, Linda Neathery; step-grandchildren, Stacey, Joshua and Skye; step-great-grandchildren, Alexis and Mason.
