David S. “Snuffy” Anderson

David S. Anderson, 57 of Portland, passed away Feb. 21. Funeral services were held Feb. 25 from the chapel of the Hall Funeral Home with Bro Shane Lame and Bro. Robin Meadows officiating. Interment followed in the Moore Cemetery. David S. Anderson was born Aug. 6, 1957 in Clay County. He worked on the Lame Farm for over 38 years. He was preceded in death by his father Ira “Tooter” Anderson; sister Josie Kathleen Anderson; brother Bennie Anderson; nephew Matthew Thompson.
Surviving relatives include his mother Olene Anderson; brother Brad Anderson; sister June Thompson; special friend Lila Anderson; and several nieces and nephews. Pallbearers included David Thompson, Paul Young, Woody Threet, Jesse Meadows, Donald Boone and Greg Meadows.

Dillard Allyn Biles

Dillard Allyn Biles, 21 of the Oak Grove Community, passed away Feb. 18 at Cookeville Regional Medical Center. Funeral services were held Feb. 22 from the chapel of the Anderson & Son Funeral Home with Tim McHenry officiating. Interment followed in the Biles Cemetery. Honorary pallbearers included Dalton Engstrom the Clay County High School Class of 2011. Dillard Allyn Biles was born May 19, 1993. He was a 2011 graduate of CCHS and was attending Tennessee Tech University. He was pursuing a degree in Wildlife/Fisheries Science. He was a member of the Victory Church of Christ.
Surviving relatives include his parents Mark and Tracy Biles; sister MaKenna Fowler Biles; grandparents Glenn and Jo McLerran, Loye and Anna Biles; uncle Dale McLerran and wife Kim; aunt Sonya King and husband David; cousins Dalton Engstrom, Baleigh and Jessica McLerran. Pallbearers included Jake Clements, Tyler McHenry, Quentin Gass, Adam Copass, Tyler Cherry, Samuel Graham, Zach Lee and Sawyer Gass.

Donna Jean Cherry
Donna Jean Cherry, 58 of Red Boiling Springs passed away Feb. 11 at the Macon County General Hospital.  She was born Nov. 2, 1956 in Jackson County. She was preceded in death by her parents Don and Charlene Cherry; sister Debra Cherry; granddaughter Chayla Braswell.Surviving relatives include her son Jonathan Braswell; daughter Layla Braswell; grandchildren Angelique Huff, Zeke Braswell, Kaileigh Bowman and Damiyn Bowman.

Andrew Keisling

Andrew Keisling, 82 of Celina, passed away on Feb. 22 at the Cumberland River Hospital. Funeral services were held Feb. 25 from the chapel of the Hall Funeral Home with Clifford Ahlberg officiating. Interment followed in the Walker Cemetery.
Andrew Keisling was born Aug. 3, 1932 in Celina. He worked at and retired from the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers. He was preceded in death by his parents Amos Andrew and Lilliam Robertson Keisling; brother Sammie Keisling; son in law Wilbur Walker; niece Kimberly Keisling. Surviving relatives include his wife Mary Jo Keisling; son Jeffery Keisling and wife Tammy; daughters Sharon K. Walker, Sarah Meadows and husband Terry; sisters Jean Ahlberg and husband Clifford, Dorothy Sparks and husband Joe; sisters in law Sue Keisling and Lillian Dale; grandchildren Amanda Keisling, Andrew Walker and Leanna and William Meadows; 10 nieces; 4 nephews; and dogs Shadow, Molly, Bernie and Lucy. Pallbearers included Jeffery Keisling, Andrew Walker, William Meadows, Joel Dale, Michael Keisling, Todd Upton, David Dale and Jason Upton.

Charles Ray McCormick, 75 of Red Boiling Springs passed away Feb. 23 at Macon County General Hospital. Funeral services were held Feb. 25 from the chapel of the Anderson Funeral Home with Jimmy Cook officiating.Charles Ray McCormick was born Aug. 30, 1939 in Macon County. He was a farmer.He was preceded in death by his parents Dow and Reba Dillehay McCormick; sisters Elizabeth Short and Imogene McCormick; brothers Eugene and Ernest McCormick.
Surviving relatives include his sister Edith Lori and husband Rodney; brother Bernice McCormick and wife Pauline; several nieces and nephews. Family and friends served as pallbearers.

Evelyn Kaye Velie, 68 of Celina, passed away on Feb. 9 at Cookeville Regional Medical Center. She was born July 2, 1946.
She was preceded in death by her parents William Goble and Ethel Frances Harris Skipworth; daughters Katrine Diana Velie and Yulonda Suzette Velie; brothers and sisters Bonnie Gene Eads, Phyllis Belle Skipworth, Janie Lou Hardin, Shirley Sue Groce and Jerry Wayne Skipworth.Surviving relatives include her daughter Kathy Cunningham; brother William Skipworth and wife Carolyn; granddaughter Kelly Kreguer; special friend William Short; and a host of nieces and nephews.

Donna Sue Hunter, 66 of the Judio Community in Kentucky, passed away. Funeral services were held Feb. 26 at Upton Funeral Home with Dale Reagan officiating.
Donna Sue Hunter was born June 8, 1946 in Toledo, OH. She was a homemaker and helped her husband William with their business Hunter’s Lodge. She was preceded in death by her parents Glenn and Donna Sue “Rushlow” Dewey; husband William “Worm” Hunter. Surviving relatives include her sons Tommy Reed and Pete Vliet; daughter Tammy Spangler and husband Ray; brother Dan Dewey; grandchildren Victoria, Oscar and Chad Pellend, Tiffany Bartlett, Tricia Reed, Angel Vliet, Ethen Vliet and Emerson Vliet Jr.
