Christine Head, 79 of Celina, passed away Jan. 26 at Celina Health and Rehab. Funeral services were held Jan. 28 from the chapel of the Hall Funeral Home with Bro. Dennis Miller officiating. Interment followed in the Moss Cemetery. Christine Head was born April 10, 1935 in Clay County. She worked in a factory and was a member of the New Hope Church of Christ. She was preceded in death by her parents, Jim and Wilette Butler Abney; sister, Jean Abney; brother Junior Abney. Surviving relatives include her children Peggy and Reggie Ballard, Ron and Gloretta Head, Harold and Sharon Head, Steve and Adele Head, Patsy and Donald Strong; sisters, Barbara McCoin, Kathleen Gilpatrick and Louis Green; grandchildren, Chad, Kacie, Olivia, Jesse, Thomas and Francis Head, Jeremy Buck, Hope Presley, Cody Ballard, Wesley Strong; and great grandchildren, Jeren, Caleb, Tayla, Ava and Jacob.

Wayne Head, 90 of the Oak Grove Community, passed away Feb. 2 at Monroe County Medical Center in Tompkinsville. Funeral services were held at Upton Funeral Home with Gary Wilder officiating. Interment followed in the Moss Cemetery. Wayne Head was born Feb. 14, 1924. in Clay County. He was a farmer, WWII Navy Veteran and a member of the Oak Grove Church of Christ. He was preceded in death by his parents, Earl and Etelka Spivey Head; wife, Anna Chitwood; and an infant sister. Surviving relatives include son and daughter-in- law Larry and Pam Head; daughter and son-in-law, Susan and Jackie Bray; sister, Louise Morello; grandchildren, Ellen Bailey, James Head and Wesley Bray; and great grandchildren, Samuel, Seth, Silas, Anna, Addison, Jonah and Jasper.

Phyllis Nichols Snow, 65 of Lafayette, passed away Feb. 4 at Skyline Medical Center in Nashville. Funeral services were held Feb. 7 from the chapel of the Anderson & Son Funeral Home with Pastor Bruce Kirby officiating. Interment followed in Whitley Cemetery. She was born June 5, 1949 in Macon County. She was a homemaker and attended Christ Alive Church. She was preceded in death by her parents, Graves “Skinner” and Ruth Holland Nichols; husband, James Snow; sister, Sheila Kay Shrum; brothe, Graves “Pody” Nichols. Surviving relatives include her daughter and son- in-law, Felecia and Cale Copas; son and daughter- in-law, Barry and Shelley Bray; and grandchildren, Ashley, Ryan, Brady, Quinton, Shayd and Blaine. Pallbearers included Eric Vinson, Shane Nichols, Zach Holland, Ricky Brown, John Royal, Barry White a
nd Brad Nichols.
