Jimmie Grey Webb Speck

Jimmy Grey Webb Speck, 93, of Livingston passed away Dec. 16 at the Overton County Nursing Home after a long illness. Funeral services were held Dec. 19 at the chapel of Speck Funeral Home with Rev. Craig Green and Rev. Randy Goodman officiating. Interment followed in the Good Hope Cemetery.

Pallbearers were: Kevin Speck, Lowell Arney, Bill Sayer, Jerry Courtney, Louis Oakley and Bill Speck. Charles Langford served as honorary pallbearer.

Jimmie Grey Webb Speck was born Nov. 10, 1918 in Overton County. She was a homemaker but worked briefly at E.B. Gray Jewelry and at the Livingston Elementary School cafeteria. She was a member of the First United Methodist Church in Livingston, the United Methodist Women and the Overton County Home Demonstration Club.

She was preceded in death by her parents, James Grey and Alba Copeland Webb; husband, W. Ray Speck; and son, James Ray Speck.

Surviving relatives include: her daughters, Shirley Ann and husband Bill Sayer of Del Mar, CA and Susan and husband Lowell Arney of Livingston; brother, McCoy Webb of Oregon; grandchildren, Kevin Speck of Morristown, Courtney Barnaby of Denver, CO and Emily Courtney of Leesburg, VA; great-grandchildren, Addison Barnaby, Austin Barnaby and Hudson Courtney; and daughter-in-law, Kay Speck of Kingston.

Lou Hattie Phillips

Lou Hattie Phillips, 94, of Clarkrange passed away Dec. 19 at the Standing Stone Care and Rehabilitation Center. Funeral services were held Dec. 21 at the chapel of Goff Funeral Home with Rev. Ronnie Swallows officiating. Interment followed in the Phillips Family Cemetery.

Lou Hattie Phillips was born May 22, 1917 in Overton County. She was a homemaker, a factory worker and of Baptist faith.

She was preceded in death by her parents, General and Sarah Boswell Swallows; husband, Warner Isham Phillips; and eight brothers and sisters.

Surviving relatives include: her daughters, Betty and husband Douglas Reagan, Brenda and husband Roger Davis and Berilla Smith all of Clarkrange; sons, Vaden and wife Betty Phillips, Aden and wife Barbara Phillips and Barney and wife Frances Phillips all of Clarkrange; 12 grandchildren; 21 great-grandchildren; and two great-great-grandchildren.

Tony Walker

Tony Walker, 48, of Livingston passed away Dec. 18 at Livingston Regional Hospital. Funeral services were held Dec. 21 at the chapel of Speck Funeral Home with Bro. Bobby Gore officiating. Interment followed in the Overton County Memorial Gardens.

Pallbearers were: Billy Mayberry, Tim Reid, David Gore, Grant Spears, Charles Tinch and Ben Winningham. Employees of UCEMC served as honorary pallbearers.

Tony Walker was born June 13, 1963 in Overton County. He was a clerk for the Upper Cumberland Electric Membership Corporation and a member of the Walnut Grove Church of Christ. He loved camping and boating at Dale Hollow Lake with his family.

He was preceded in death by his father, Thurman Walker.

Surviving relatives include: his mother and step-father, Lucille and Lonnie Smith of Anderson, IN; wife, Wendy Winton Walker of Livingston; sons, Blake Walker of Livingston; daughter, Bailey Walker of Livingston; brothers, Billy and wife Pam Walker of Livingston and Thurman and wife Kathy Walker of Indianapolis, IN; half-sister, Judy Moore of Livingston; father and mother-in-law, Wayne Winton of Livingston and Martha Winton of Mt. Juliet; sister-in-law, Kelly Winton of Manchester; uncles, Jerry and wife Charlotte Garrett and Kenneth and wife Helen Garrett all of Livingston and Jake and wife Mary Ann Garrett of Anderson, IN; aunts, Mary and husband Earl Hunter of Cookeville and Eudean McDonald of Livingston; and several nieces and nephews.

Gary Wayne Martin

Factory Worker

Gary Wayne Martin, 58, of the Maple Grove Community in Clay County passed away Dec. 22 at his home. Funeral services were held Dec. 23 at the Fellowship Baptist Church in Allons with Rev. Bob Stoner officiating. Interment followed in the Fellowship Cemetery. Speck Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.

Pallbearers were: Denton Hummel, Ronnie Hummel, Benny Maxfield, Elliot Vaughn, John Kirkpatrick, David Vaughn and Jacob Harvey.

Gary Wayne Martin was born Oct. 19, 1953 in Overton County. He was a factory worker with Berkline Corporation and a member of the Fellowship Baptist Church.

He was preceded in death by his father, I.B. “Cotton” Martin; and infant son, Joby Eric Martin.

Surviving relatives include: his mother, Jewell Martin of Allons; son, Brandon and wife Amy Martin of Monroe; Amy Martin of Allons; grandchildren, Donovan Harvey, Addison Martin and Briggs Martin; and sisters, Judy and husband Earl Foster of Anderson, IN and June and husband Larry Harvey and Joan and husband Terry Borden all of Allons.

Dollie Mae Ramsey

Dollie Mae Ramsey, 78, passed away Dec. 21 at Cookeville Regional Medical Center. Funeral services were held Dec. 23 at the chapel of Hall Funeral Home in Livingston with Bro. Aron Dillon officiating. Interment followed in the Overton County Memorial Gardens.

Pallbearers were: Brad Gore, Brian Gore, Marcus Maulding, Jamie Ray, Lance Dial and Lucas Dial.

Dollie Mae Ramsey was born Oct. 30, 1933. She was a member of the Falling Springs Baptist Church.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Charlie and Mary “Dessie” Dishman Ramsey; husband, Willie Roscoe Gore; and sons, Donald, Royce and Orville Gore.

Surviving relatives include: her daughters, Judy Ray, Kathy Jane Hamilton Gore, Janice Gore, Joyce and husband Eugene Dial and Jennifer and husband Marcus Maulding; son, Bobby Gore; and special grandson, Brad and wife Dana Gore. She raised an additional 13 grandchildren and 13 great-grandchildren.

Tammy J. Johnson Pezak

Tammy J. Johnson Pezak, 41, of Livingston passed away Dec. 17. Funeral services were held Dec. 22 at the chapel of Hall Funeral Home in Livingston with Bro. Jeremy Norris officiating. Interment followed in the Union Hill-Flatt Cemetery.

Pallbearers were: Mark Johnson, Michael Bandy, Larry Elemore, William Harris, Jeff Miles and George Hatfield.

Tammy J. Johnson Pezak was born Oct. 7, 1970 in Detroit, MI to Jon White and the late Sharon Inez Johnson.

Surviving relatives include: her fiancé, Jeff Roberts; sons, Vernon Johnson and Travis Pezak; daughter, Chelsy Pezak; brothers, Danny and wife Martha Johnson, Shawn Johnson and Mark and wife Anna Johnson; sister-in-law, Paula Miles; and grandchildren, Hanna Johnson and Bryson Pezak.
