Craft Fair

Applications are now being taken for the Flint and Stones Craft Fair at the Old Mulkey Meetinghouse State Historic Site in Tompkinsville Nov. 3rd. Vendors offering homemade items of natural material content are invited to participate. Absolutely no commercial booths will be allowed. Natural material content includes but is not limited to rock, antler, coal, wood, gourd, cotton etc. If you have any question as to whether your items fit this criteria please contact the park. Sneed Family In Concert

The Friends of Old Mulkey will sponsor a gospel concert at the Old Mulkey Meetinghouse on Saturday, Oct. 13th, at 1:30 p.m. Featured performers will be the Sneed Family of Glasgow, KY. The Sneed’s are one of south-central Kentucky’s most beloved gospel groups consisting of the husband and wife team of Jeff and Pam Sneed, their children Seth, Jacob and Amanda and their son-in-law Caleb Cowan. Opening the event will be Team Elam. The concert is a fundraiser to benefit the goals of the Friends of Old Mulkey. Concessions will be available.

A freewill offering will be collected. Bring your own lawn chair. For additional information call 270-487-8481.

White Reunion

White Reunion—Descendants of Zack, James (Jim), William (Uncle Harry), Tramel, Johnny, Allen and Nancy (White) Long will be at the women’s pavilion Oct. 13 opening at 11 a.m. and eating at 12 noon. Bring a covered dish and visit with kinfolks. Friends of families invited also.

Have-A-Heart 2 Help

With winter coming on there will be many abandoned animals in the county but a new organization called Have-A-Heart, Inc. is here to help in any way possible. The organization is presently needing blankets, towels, collars, leashes, food, pet crates and looking for volunteers who are willing to help foster care, training and fundraising. Celina Head Start Open House

The Celina Head Start will hold an Open House on Oct. 25 from 1 p.m. – 4 p.m. Come join in the Open House Festivities, meet the Head Start Staff and enjoy the fellowship with community.

Mass Time Change

The Divine Savior Catholic Mission would like to announce effective Nov. 3 the Saturday night mass will be changed from 7 p.m. to 5 p.m.

Benefit For Clay County’s Animal Services

Howlin’ in the Holler, a benefit for Clay County’s Animal Services Have-A-Heart,  will be held Oct. 27 at Brimstone Creek Farm located at 4675 Brimstone Creek Road in Moss from 1 p.m. – 5 p.m. Doggie Costume Contest, Pet Photo’s, Corn Hole Tourney, Food-Jamming and Music and all proceeds help to fund Have-A-Heart. On site pet adoptions.  A bonfire and music will be held that evening at 7 p.m.
