DeKalb Beats Wildcats On Sr. Night

On Monday, April 28 the Livingston Academy Baseball Team hosted DeKalb Co. This was the first time either team had played each other this season. Both teams were ready for a district win. The Wildcats going into the game their district record was 5-5 and the Tigers were 6-5.

It was Senior Night for the Wildcats. Senior players are #32 Clint Durham, #20 Cody Winton, and #28 Todd Smith. The game started out slow for both teams with the first two innings ending with a final score of 0-0. Soon that would all change with the Tigers of DeKalb Co scoring four runs while holding the Wildcats to zero. The final score ended with 4-11 leaving the Wildcats disappointed. The starters for Monday nights game were #32 Clint Durham (pitcher), #17 Lee Gatts (1st base), #10 Shawn Walthall (2nd base), #14 Andrew Maynord (3rd base), #7 Allen Bilbrey (short-stop), #20 Cody Winton (right field), #28 Todd Smith (center field), #15 Ethan McDonald (left field), and #44 Seth Kilgore (catcher).

On Tuesday, April 29 LA traveled to DeKalb for a district game. After losing a game to the Tigers the Wildcats were ready to fight back. Although LA came with high hopes they were soon crushed. DeKalb hands LA another loss this time the final score was 2-13.

The next games for the baseball team are Region Semi-Finals on May 12 and Region Finals on May 14.
