Head Start Policy Council To Meet June 3
The monthly meeting of the L.B.J. & C. Head Start Policy Council has been scheduled for Tuesday, June 3 beginning at 6 p.m. The meeting will be held at the L.B.J. &C. Development Corporation, 1150 Chocolate Dr., Cookeville.

The Overton County Board of Education will meet in regular session Tuesday, June 10, at the Central Education Office as directed by Chairman Mike Hayes. The regular meeting will begin at 6 p.m. with the work session set to follow.

VFW Coffee With A Veteran To Be Held June 7
Livingston V.F.W. Post 5062 and American Legion Post 4, are hosting, “Have Coffee With A Veteran,” Saturday morning, June 7 from 8 a.m. until 11 a.m. at the V.F.W. Post Building. This month, a breakfast will also be served.

Overton County Commission Set To Meet June 30
The next regular meeting of the Overton County Commission has been scheduled for Monday, June 30 at 6 p.m. at the Overton County Courthouse.

Standing Stone Park To Hold Nature Hike
Standing Stone State Park will hold a nature hike beginning at 8:30 a.m., Thursday, June 5. Those wishing to participate in the hike should meet in front of the Recreational Hall. Participants are asked to bring water, sunblock and sturdy shoes to wear. The hike is expected to last three hours and covers a mile and a half of hiking trail.
