Billy R. Scott, 75, of Celina passed away on April 16 at Cumberland River Hospital. Funeral services were held April 18 from the Chapel of the Hall Funeral Home with Bro. Kenny Westmoreland officiating. Burial followed at the Turkeytown Cemetery. Billy R. Scott was born Nov. 17, 1938 in Celina. He worked for the City of Celina. He was preceded in death by his parents Homer and Jewell Scott; sister Betty Lee Scott. Surviving relatives include his wife Daffo Scott; brother Fred Scott; sister Peggy Riley; children Michael Robert Scott, Delilah and Charlie Key, Terry and Gwynda Scott, Jerry and Kay Scott; grandchildren Terri, Kip, Abby, Crystal, Olivia, Jana, Joesph, Jared, Malcom, Jacob and Jared Scott; and great-grandchildren Callie and Dorian.

Edith Joines Bean
Factory Worker
Edith Joines Bean, 86, of Clay County, passed away April 18 at the Centennial Medical Center in Nashville. Funeral services were held April 22 from the Chapel of the Anderson & Son Funeral Home with Jimmy Cook and E.C. Meadows officiating. Interment followed in the Anderson & Son Memorial Park. Her grandsons and nephews served as pallbearers. Edith was born Jan. 20, 1928 in Macon County. She was a factory worker and a member of the Red Boiling Springs Church of Christ. She was also a fifty year member of the Lafayette Chapter of the Order of Eastern Star #379. She was preceded in death by her parents Crit and Essie Compton Jones; husband Horace Greeley Bean; sisters Opal Butler and Dixie Lee Joines; brothers Bobby and Fay Joines. Surviving relatives include her sisters Dinky Jennings and Jo Knight; daughters and sons-in-law Sue and Tommy Lamar, Pat and Lee Jennings, Teresa and Al Burrow; granddaughters Jeanine Simpson, Rebecca Hitchcock, Sarah Rose Lamar; grandsons Neal, Brad and Clint Jennings; and 11 great-grandchildren.

Ted R. Jenkins
General Motors Worker
Ted R. Jenkins, 93, of Indianapolis passed away April 6 at his residence. Funeral services were held April 10 from the chapel of the Hall Funeral Home with Bro. Nathan Sherrell officiating. Burial followed in the Cherry Family Cemetery on McCormick Ridge. Ted R. Jenkins was born Sept. 23, 1920 in Clay County. He worked at General Motors. He was a member of the Central Wesleyan Church in Indiana. He was preceded in death by his parents Harlan and Roxie (Asberry) Jenkins; his wife Vallie Jenkins; sons Tim and Randal Jenkins; grandson Lonnie Jenkins; and great-grandson Josh Randal Hatcher. Surviving relatives include his brother Elbert Red Jenkins, daughters Frances Hatcher and Gaye Gulliford; sons Danny and Dennis Jenkins; 16 grandchildren; 28 great-grandchildren; and 6 great-great-grandchildren.

R.D. Head
R.D. Head, 79, of Celina passed away March 13 at his residence. Graveside services were held March 14 at the Teeples Cemetery with Bro. David Threet officiating. R.D. Head was a farmer and a member of the Church of Christ. He was preceded in death by his parents Millard Head and Mary Bolden Head; and wife Bonnie Jean Head. Surviving relatives include his nephew James Beason; niece Lovie Dulworth; and many other nieces and nephews.

Pearl Filena Kirk
Osh-Kosh Employee
Pearl Filena Kirk, 96, of Celina passed away April 21 at Celina Health and Rehab. Funeral services were held April 23 at Upton Funeral Home with Bill Threet officiating. Interment followed in the Turkeytown Cemetery. Billy Ray Estep, Tyler Walker, Jerry Eads, Gary Eads, Bryan Boles and Caleb Burnette served as pallbearers. Pearl Filena Kirk was born Jan. 18, 1918 in Turkeytown. She was a retired Osh-Kosh B’ Gosh employee and a member of the Celina Church of Christ. She was preceded in death by her parents James Matthew and Avo (Hix) Pigg; brothers Charlie, George, Josh, Johnny, Willie and Ben Pigg; sister Amelia Dailey Young. Surviving relatives include her son and daughter-in-law Huel and Alice Boles; grandson Bryan (Tonya) Boles; great-grandchildren Skyler and Lance Ruanto; step-grandchildren Sherri Pruitt, Gary (Carol) Eads and Jerry Eads; several step-great-grandchildren and several step-great-great-grandchildren.
