Chili Supper To Benefit Independence Building Fund Set
A chili supper will be held from 4 p.m. – 8 p.m., Saturday, Jan. 25 at Independence Community Center. Chili, hotdogs, desserts and drinks will be available. All proceeds raised will benefit the Independence Building Fund. Everyone is welcome to attend.

Welding Classes To Begin Jan. 27
Welding classes will be offered at the Tennessee College of Applied Technology in Livingston. Applications are currently being accepted. Class will begin Jan. 27 and will end April 21. Class will be held Monday and Tuesday evenings from 6 p.m. – 9 p.m. in the welding shop at the Tennessee College of Applied Technology Livingston campus. Benefit For Special Advocates For Children Set
A benefit for Court Appointed Special Advocates for Children (CASA) will be held at 6 p.m., Saturday, Jan. 11 at Caney Fork Baptist Church. Squire Parsons, author of Sweet Beulah Land, will headline the benefit. For more information, call Darlene Jones at 931-265-6471.

Adult Relative Support Meetings Now Offered
Are you raising a relative child or need housing assistance? For more information on assistance and support, please contact Melissa Allison at the Upper Cumberland Development District toll free at 1-877-275-8233. Adult relative support group meetings are held every third Tuesday from 12 p.m. – 1 p.m., at First Christian Church at 320 Oakley Street, Livingston. For housing assistance while caring for relative child, contact Myra Walker at 931-432-4111.

Convenience Centers To Close For Martin Luther King Day
All Overton County Convenience Centers will be closed Monday, Jan. 20 in observance of Martin Luther King Day.

Overton County Beekeepers To Meet Jan. 16
Overton Co Beekeepers will meet on Thursday, Jan. 16 at 6:30 pm at the Millard Oakley Library.  Guest speaker will be Charlie Parton, president of TN Beekeepers Association. Topic for the evening is creating nucleus colonies. All interested persons are welcome.

Narcotics Anonymous Set To Meet
Narcotics Anonymous meets Tuesdays and Fridays at 7 p.m. at United Methodist Church on Main St., Livingston. Everyone is welcome.
