Family Fun S.T.E.M. Night at Celina K-8 to be held
The S.T.E.M. Mobile Lab from TTU will be at Celina K-8 for a tour on Jan. 9 from 4 p.m. till 6 p.m..  We will also have some fun Science Activities for students and parents on this night.  Refreshments will be served.  Mark this date on your calendar and plan to attend! Please fill out the form brought home by your child if you plan to attend and return it to school on Jan. 6.

Community Calendar Monthly Meetings
The Celina Municipal Planning Commission meets the second Monday of every month at 5:30 at City Hall.

The American Legion Post 18 meets the second Thursday of each month at 6:30 at the Clay County Chamber of Commerce, 424 Brown Street.

The American Legion Auxiliary Unit 18 meets the second Thursday of each month at 6:30 p.m. at the Chamber of Commerce, 424 Brown Street.

The Hermitage Springs Park Committee will meet the third Tuesday of each month at 6:30 p.m. in the Hermitage Springs Bank community room. Everyone is invited to attend.

The Clay County Gun and Knife Club will meet here the second Tuesday of each month at 6 p.m. The meetings will be held in the white building on the right past Wood River market on Highway 51 (Tompkinsville Hwy.) here. Memberships are $10 per year. For more information, call 258-4030.

The Clay County Park and Fair Board meets the fourth Thursday of each month at 6:30 at the Women’s Building in the Clay County Recreation Complex.

The Clay County Health Council meets the second Monday of each month at the Clay County School Board Central Office meeting room at 12 noon.

The Celina Clay County Joint Industrial Development Board meets the third Thursday of each month at the Clay County Chamber of Commerce.

Friends of the Clay County Tennessee Library meet on the last Friday of each month at 10:00 a.m. at the Celina United Methodist Church.

The Clay County Economic and Community Development Board meets the first Thursday of each month at 5 p.m. The meeting is held at the Clay County Chamber of Commerce.

Retirement Committee Meeting: 3 Star Retirement Committee meets the third Wednesday of every month at 9:00 a.m. at the Chamber of Commerce. Retiree’s and those interested are welcome to attend and help with ideas and improvements to our growing Retirement Community.

Are You Raising A Relative Child Or Need Housing Assistance?
For more information on assistance and support, please contact Melissa Allison at the Upper Cumberland Development District toll free at 931-432-4111 or toll free at 1-877-275-8233. Adult relative support group meetings are held, every 3rd Tuesday, of each month, from 10 a.m. – 11 a.m. It will be held at the Celina United Methodist Church, 1418 Mitchell Street, Celina TN. For housing assistance while caring for relative child, contact Myra Walker at 931-432-4111.

Head Start Accepting Applications
The L.B.J.& C. Celina Head Start is currently accepting applications to provide free comprehensive child development services to children 3 – 4 years of age including children with disabilities from low-income families in a full day program. Services are also offered to meet the special needs of children with disabilities. L.B.J.&C. Head Start helps all children succeed.
