Dee Vaughn, 77, of Monterey passed away Nov. 4 at Cookeville Regional Medical Center. Funeral services were held Nov. 7 from the chapel of Goff Funeral Home with Rev. Greg Jenkins officiating. Interment followed in Hanging Limb Cemetery.
He was born Dec. 18, 1935, in Overton County. He was a timber cutter and was Baptist in faith.
He was preceded in death by parents, Walter and Hilda Todd Vaughn; and brothers, Paul and Robert “Bob” Vaughn.
Surviving relatives include a daughter and son-in-law, Theresa and husband, Steve O’Neal of Dry Hollow; three grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; sisters, Willodean Vaughn and Lurilene Judd, both of Hanging Limb, Fay Cobble of Rickman and Cathy Gibbia, of Cookeville; and brother, Joe Carl Vaughn, of Monterey.
John Thomas West
John Thomas West, 66, of Livingston passed away Nov. 3 at his home. Funeral services were held Nov. 5 from the chapel of Hall Funeral Home with Bro. Bennie Sells and Bro. Nolan Cantrell officiating. Interment followed in Shady Grove Cemetery.
He was born Aug. 6, 1947 in Overton County.
He was preceded in death by parents, Hubert Atwell and Burksie Gertrude Stout West; daughter, Julie Ann West; and stepdaughter, Rhonda Stewart.
Surviving relatives include wife, Sarah Margaret Ashburn West; son and daughter-in-law, John David and wife Stephanie West; granddaughters, Karlie and Katie West; sisters, Pearl Cantrell and Barbara Peek and husband, Jimmy; brothers, Hollis West and wife, Ruby, and Terry West and wife, Ina; brother and sister-in-law, Mary Dean and husband, L.D. Johnson and James and Linda Ashburn.
Pallbearers were Derrick Beasley, Travis Peek, Duell Johnson, Ricky Beasley, Kenneth Cantrell and Josh Sidwell. Honorary pallbearers were Jefferson West, Ronald Cantrell, J.T. Cantrell and Lucky Cantrell.
Ronnie “Runt” Dailey
Ronnie “Runt” Dailey, 61, of Celina passed away Nov. 3 at Cumberland River Hospital. Funeral services were held Nov. 7 from the chapel of Hall Funeral Home in Celina with Bro. David Threet officiating. Interment followed in Fellowship Cemetery in Allons.
Ronnie Dailey was born in May 12, 1952 in the Swan Ridge Community of Clay County. He was employed by City of Celina in the Sanitation Department.
He was preceded in death by parents, James Wesley and Delpha Johnson Dailey.
Surviving relatives include wife, Tammy R. Blakely Dailey; son, Mark Allen Dailey; sisters, Mildred and husband, Shelby Short, Mary Ellis and Vertie Dailey; brother, Carlos Wayne Dailey; half-sister, Hallie Burchett; and several nieces and nephews.
Betty Hazel Robbins
Betty Hazel Robbins, 83, of Livingston passed away Nov. 5 at Bethesda Health Care Center in Cookeville. Funeral services were held Nov. 7 from the chapel of Speck Funeral Home with Bro. Richard Bond officiating. Interment followed in Ruth Chapel Cemetery.
She was born Feb. 7, 1930 in Overton County. She was a nurses aide and a member of Hilham Church of Christ.
She was preceded in death by parents, Albert and Dora Eldridge Tayse; brother, Bill Tayse; and sister, Ruth Crabtree.
Surviving relatives include son, David and wife, Cindy Robbins, of Livingston; daughter, Cathy Stacy, of Rickman; grandchildren, John Ross Robbins, Jordan Stacy and Tanner Stacy; great-grandchild, Blakely Stacy; and nephew, Tim Tayse of Calisle, Ohio.
