Alpine Vol. Fire Department To Hold Supper
The Alpine Volunteer Fire Department will hold a fish and chicken supper from 3 p.m. – 8 p.m., Saturday, Oct. 12.
Sierra Hull Bluegrass Festival Planned

Rickman Elementary School’s Fall Festival Set
Rickman Elementary School’s Fall Festival is scheduled for Thursday, Oct. 10. Concessions will open at 5 p.m., and the festival will be from 6-9 p.m. in RES gym. There will be a haunted house, hay rides, door prizes, cake walk, games, concessions and much more. All proceeds will be used to benefit the students at Rickman Elementary School.

Free Medicare Part D Help
SHIP representatives from the Upper Cumberland Area Agency on Aging and Disability will be at the Overton County Senior Center on Oct. 22 to help counsel on Medicare Part D plans for 2014. Hardy’s Chapel Fire Department will hold a chili and bean supper fundraiser from 4 p.m. until 8 p.m., Friday, Oct. 11. Music will be provided by Eagle Creek and Concrete Cowboys.
Dale Hollow Doll Show To Be Held
The Dale Hollow Doll Show will be held Saturday, Oct. 12 at the Millard Oakley Library in Livingston.
Entries will be taken from 7:30 a.m. – 9 a.m. Judging will be held from 9 a.m. – 10 a.m., viewing from 10 a.m. – 11 a.m. and pick up will be at 11 a.m.

Veterans Outreach Event Set
A veterans outreach event will be held beginning at 8 a.m., Tuesday, Oct. 15 at the Cumberland County Community Complex (fairgrounds) in Crossville. Representatives from the TN Department of Veterans Affairs, U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs, Social Security Administration, and other state and local agencies will be on hand to provide benefit assistance and information.
Those planning to attend are asked to bring a copy of the military DD-214 or discharge papers to assist in determining benefit eligibility. If you do not have one, one can be requested for you.
