Mary Rosie (Sherrell) Hylton
Mary Rosie (Sherrell) Hylton, 83, of Celina passed away Sept. 7 at Cumberland River Hospital. Funeral services were held Sept. 9 from Upton Funeral Home with Donald Bryant officiating. Interment followed in McDonald Cemetery.
Mary Rosie (Sherrell) Hylton was born Aug. 8, 1930 in Clay County. She was a factory worker, worked in food preparation at the hospital and attended the Free Will Holiness Church.
She was preceded in death by her parents Mack Edgar and Willie D. (Emerton) Sherrell; husband Harlin H. Hylton; brothers James Edgar, Mack Willard, and Major A. Sherrell; sisters Emma Sherrell, Ruth Sherrell and Beatrice Westmoreland; son Earnest D. Goolsby; and grandsons Jeffery W. Anderson and Wesley Allen.
Surviving relatives include daughters Bonnie Jean Allen of Whiteland, Ind., Dian Anderson of Celina; sons Herman Lee Goolsby of Hilham, Bruce Barnes of Martinsville, Ind.; five grandchildren and 15 great-grandchildren.
Pallbearers were Jerry Anderson, Jeremy Anderson, Luke Sherrell, Georgie Barnes, Shannon Smith and James Westmoreland.
Leon Beechboard, 63, of Hilham passed away Sept. 6 at Overton County Nursing Home. Funeral services were held Sept. 8 at Upton Funeral Home with Bro. Shannon Hammock officiating. Interment followed in Turkeytown Cemetery.
Leon Beechboard was born Feb. 15, 1950 in Clay County.
He was preceded in death by his parents Fowler and Thelma Mae (Boles) Beechboard.
Surviving relatives include son Joey Beechboard of Hilham; brother Carl Wayne Beechboard and wife Sherry of Hilham; sisters Pearlie Tidwell and husband Jerry of Hilham, Kathy Dailey of Hilham; grandson Ethan Beechboard of Hilham; and step-granddaughters Judith Allen and Autumn Dotson.
Pallbearers were Gary Allen, Winton Dillon, Clark Dillon, Billy Ray Boles, Greg Boles and Jeff Tidwell.
Ray “Bo” Rich
Ray “Bo” Rich, 64 passed away Sept. 2. Funeral services were held Sept. 7 at Newcomer Funeral Home South Chapel. Interment followed at Evergreen Cemetery in West Carrollton.
Ray “Bo” Rich retired from GM after 30 years. He loved fishing and hunting. He loved his granddaughters, and enjoyed working in the garden.
He was preceded in death by his parents Bob and Juline Rich; brother Bobby Rich; and sister Brenda Musgrove.
Surviving relatives include his wife of 44 years Teresa Rich; daughter Kathy Combs; two special granddaughters Kelli Combs and Katie Combs; special uncles Rush Rich and Wayne Rich both of Celina; special aunt Susie Garner of Moraine, Ohio; and many nieces and nephews.
Pallbearers were Marty Rich, Joey Rich, Jeff Rich, Tommy Rich, Rob Musgrove and Dan Grove.
