Cancer Benefit
A cancer benefit for Sherman and Golda Stewart will be held from 3 p.m. until 9 p.m., March 2, at Monterey First Baptist Church.
Sherman has stage-three pancreatic cancer and is undergoing treatment.
There will be singing by the Gore family, a variety of foods, raffles and an auction.

American Legion And Auxiliary Meeting
The American Legion and American Legion Auxiliary will meet on March 5 at Stover’s Restaurant.
Dining will begin at 5 p.m. with the meeting to follow at 6 p.m.
Parenting Class
The Stephens Center is offering a series of parenting classes at no charge, with sessions held from 9 a.m. until 10:30 a.m. on Wednesdays.

Lunch Break
There will be a Lunch Break class session at noon, March 7 at the Livingston-Overton County Chamber of Commerce. Classes are free.
Historical Society Meeting
The Overton County Historical Society monthly meeting will be held March 5 at 5:30 p.m. at Millard Oakley Public Library in the meeting room.
In recognition of Women’s History Month for March, the guest speaker will be Lydia Speck. Nonmembers are allowed to attend.
EA Degree
There will be an EA Degree on March 1 at Eagle Cree Lodge #530. Eating will begin at 6 p.m. and work will begin at 7 p.m.
