Benefit To Be Held

Hermitage Springs Fire Department To Hold Open House

A public open house will be held March 16 at 5 p.m. at the Hermitage Springs Fire Volunteer Fire Department. Everyone is invited to attend.

Friends Of The Dale Hollow NFH To Hold meeting

The Friends of the Dale Hollow National Fish Hatchery will hold its monthly meeting on Feb. 28 at the Celina United Methodist Church Activity Building. The discussion will be on upcoming federal sequester that will effect the hatcheries performance. Also discussing what action that TWRA and the Atlanta Office of the South Eastern Region of Fish and Wildlife Hatchery division is taking against TVA in the stoppage of trout stocking in the TVA waters of East Tennessee and the effect it will make on the hatcheries potential closing.

Father/Daughter Date Night Scheduled

The CCHS golf booster club has scheduled the 7th Annual Father/Daughter Date Night for Saturday, March 2 here at the school cafeteria and tickets for the event are now on sale. The event will begin at 6 p.m. that evening, and a buffet-style dinner will be served. Attendees will receive a gift bag and a photograph by the photographer on hand and a DJ will play music from all generations. Organizers encourage all fathers and daughters to come enjoy food, dancing and fun.  They also said substitute fathers are welcome to attend as escorts.

Park And Fair Board Meeting

The Clay County Park and Fair Board meets the fourth Thursday of each month at 6:30 at the Women’s Building in the Clay County Recreation Complex. 

Municipal Planning Commission Meeting

The Celina Municipal Planning Commission meets the second Monday of every month at 5:30 at City Hall.
