Head Start Accepting Applications

The L.B.J.&C. Celina Head Start is currently accepting applications to provide free comprehensive child development services to children 3 – 5 years of age from low-income families in a full day program. Services are also offered to meet the special needs of children with disabilities. L.B.J.&C. Head Start helps all children succeed. Father/Daughter Date Night Scheduled

The CCHS golf booster club has scheduled the 7th Annual Father/Daughter Date Night for Saturday, March 2 here at the school cafeteria and tickets for the event are now on sale. The event will begin at 6 p.m. that evening, and a buffet-style dinner will be served. Attendees will receive a gift bag and a photograph by the photographer on hand, and a DJ will play music from all generations. Organizers encourage all fathers and daughters to come enjoy food, dancing, and fun.  They also said substitute fathers are welcome to attend as escorts. Tickets will be on sale at Celina K-8 on Saturdays during Junior Pro games and also at the CCHS gymnasium during the home basketball game with Jackson County. Tickets are also available at Macon Bank and Trust and Bank of Celina during business hours through Friday, Feb. 22.
