Sibyl Edna Bouchey
Sibyl Edna Bouchey, 89, passed away Jan. 24 in Mt. Clemens, MI. A private family memorial service will be held at a later date. Services were arranged by S.K. Schultz Funeral Home in Eastpointe, MI.
Sibyl Edna Bouchey was born June 23, 1923 in Gainesboro. Thank you God for a wonderful, loving, compassionate aunt and sister-in-law who will be dearly missed but will always be in our hearts. Until we meet again and see that blessed hope. We love you. Forever in our hearts: Steve, Cheri, Laurie, Donna, Donald Gus, Marc and Ida Johnson.
She was preceded in death by her sister and two brothers. She is survived by her nieces, nephews and one sister-in-law.
Blanche Keith Dycus
Blanche Keith Dycus, 93, passed away Feb. 2, at Cookeville Regional Medical Center. Funeral services were held Feb. 5, at Anderson-Upper Cumberland Funeral Home with Bro. Jimmy Anderson and Bro. Kenneth Anderson officiating. Interment followed at Rob Draper Memorial Cemetery.
Blanche Keith Dycus was born Aug. 13, 1919 in Jackson County. She was a homemaker and a member of the Gainesboro Church of Christ.
She was preceded in death by her parents Burr J. Keith and Lucy Crabtree Keith; her husband Donald C. Dycus; brothers Robert Keith and Avery Keith and sisters Awba Jones, Grace Johnson, Pauline Kemp and Ozina Clark.
Surviving relatives include son Bruce L. Dycus of Gainesboro; daughter Jennie and husband Dan Huffines of Gainesboro; grandchildren Angie Huffines (Aaron) Solomon of Nashville, Gregory Dycus of Cookeville and Julie Huffines of Knoxville and great grandchildren Lilly Dycus, Grant Solomon and Gracie Solomon. A great appreciation is given to NHC and Therapy and Davita Dialysis Clinic from the family.
Debbie Kirby Moss
Debbie Kirby Moss, 57, passed away Jan. 31 at Cookeville Regional Medical Center. Memorial services were held Feb. 3 at Anderson-Upper Cumberland Funeral Home with Bro. John Dennis and Bro. Don Bryant officiating. The family has chosen cremation.
Debbie Kirby Moss was born Oct. 27, 1955 in Jackson County. She was a secretary in the Circuit Court Clerk’s office and attended Lakeview Church of Christ.
She was preceded in death by her father Bill Kirby.
Surviving relatives include two sons Jamie and wife Holly Moss and Jeremy Moss and fiancé Vanessa Hammock all of Gainesboro; grandson Andrew Moss; mother Valmon Kirby of Gainesboro; brothers Lanny and wife Kay Kirby of Gainesboro and Kenny Kirby of Cookeville and sisters Donna and husband Dewey Mabery, Renee and husband Donnie Martin both of Gainesboro and Sherry and husband Keith Thurman of Cookeville.
John Jerry Dillon
John Jerry Dillon, 69, of Gainesboro passed away Jan. 21 at Mabry Health Care. Memorial services will be conducted at 2 p.m. on Feb. 2 from Rosewood Chapel 379 Glen Jones Road in Gainesboro.
Dillon was born July 4, 1943, in Stillwater, OK. He was a salesman and also a member of First United Methodist Church.
He was preceded in death by his parents Gertrude (Dishman) and Billie E. Dillon.
He is survived by his wife Linda (Carter) Dillon.
Jackson County Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
Leo Loftis, 83, passed away Feb. 4 at The Palace at Red Boiling Springs. Memorial services were held Feb. 9 at Anderson-Upper Cumberland Funeral Home with Steve Warren officiating. Interment followed at Byers Cemetery.
Leo Loftis was born Oct. 12, 1929 in Jackson County. He was a metal finisher in the automotive industry and he served in the US Army during the Korean War.
He was preceded in death by his parents Herod and Flossie B. Stafford Loftis; his wife Martha Loftis; son John McCartt and six brothers.
Surviving relatives include daughters Lisa Seals and Crystal Loftis both of Gainesboro; grandchildren Jonathan and Brandon McCartt and Nichole Pelkey; six great grandchildren; brothers J.L. Loftis and Herod “Whitey” Loftis both of Gainesboro and sisters Agnes Martin of Gainesboro, Lucille Mansell of Cookeville and Betty Heady of Lebanon.
Charlene Ann Kirkpatrick
Charlene Ann Kirkpatrick, 43, passed away Feb. 1 at Cumberland River Hospital in Clay County. Memorial services were held Feb. 6 at Jackson County Funeral Home with Bro. Chris Hefner officiating.
Charlene Ann Kirkpatrick was born Feb. 3, 1969 in Dayton, OH.
She was preceded in death by her father Charles Jackson and her grandparents Russell and Laurine Jackson.
Surviving relatives include her husband Robert Kirkpatrick; daughter Samantha Greer; sister Vickie and husband Randy Rogers; niece Candace Rogers; great nephew Charles Rogers; cousins Teresa L. and Mallory P. Jackson and Aunt Pearl and Uncle Ralph Jackson.
Joyce Marie Dyer
Joyce Marie Dyer, 66, passed away Feb. 7 at Cookeville Regional Medical Center. Funeral services were held Feb. 10 at Anderson-Upper Cumberland Funeral Home with Bro. Steve Bowman officiating. Interment followed at Union Hill-Flatt Cemetery. Pallbearers were J. Greg Pippin, Wade Hurst, Lindsey Pippin, Lacey Pippin, J. Lane Pippin, Jordy Ellis, Tara Carlson and Nicole Carlson.
Joyce Marie Dyer was born Oct. 11, 1946 in Algood. She worked at Fleetguard.
She was preceded in death by her parents Richie Bohannon and Pearl Abston Bohannon; brothers James, Robert, Willis, Claude, Alvin, Jack and Raymond Bohannon and her sister Evelyn Smith.
Surviving relatives include sisters Essie Webb and Jessie Smith; sister-in-law Jean Bohannon; special niece Carolyn Wilson and a host of nieces and nephews, caregiver Annie Carlson, the Pippin family and her friends at Twin Lakes Catfish Farm.
Dwayne H. Stafford
Dwayne H. Stafford, 45, passed away Feb. 5 in Gainesboro. A family gathering was held Feb. 19 at Anderson-Upper Cumberland Funeral Home.
Dwayne H. Stafford was born May 30, 1967 in Jackson County. He was a factory worker.
He was preceded in death by his parents John Edd Stafford and Judy Carol Stafford.
Surviving relatives include his wife Kimberly D. Stafford; sons Landon and wife Andrea Bumbalough and Corejay and wife Roslyn Stafford; daughter Kandice and husband Michael Roland; grandchildren Brooklyn Roland, MaKenna Roland, Mikey Roland and Charles Ross Stafford; uncle Billy B. Stafford and aunt Gladys Haney.
Doris Ann Williams Gentry
Doris Ann Williams Gentry, 50, passed away Feb. 6 at Vanderbilt University Medical Center in Nashville. Funeral services were held Feb. 9 at Anderson-Upper Cumberland Funeral Home with Bro. Alan Judd officiating. Interment followed at Hensley Cemetery.
Doris Ann Williams was born March 25, 1962 in Dayton, OH. She was a manager at Dollar General Market.
She was preceded in death by one brother Tommy Dee Williams; paternal grandparents Robert Dewey Williams and Willie Mae Williams and maternal grandfather Doyle Walker.
Surviving relatives include her husband Jerry McCoin Gentry; her parents Donald L. Williams and Joyce Walker Williams; brothers Eugene and wife Sherry Williams and Michael and wife Tracy Williams; sister Donna and husband Kevin Frye; brother-in-law and sister-in-law Kenny and Serena Gentry; sister-in-law Brenda Spratt and mother-in-law Dimple Noble.
