Evelyn (Perdue) Allred, 82, of Livingston passed away Jan. 30 at the Overton County Nursing Home. Funeral services were held Feb. 1 from Livingston Funeral Home with Bro. Robert Boles and Bro. Jordan Danner officiating. Interment followed in the Bethlehem Cemetery.
Evelyn (Perdue) Allred was born June 22, 1930, in Clay County. She lived most of her life in Overton County. She was a retired factory worker, babysitter, caregiver and also a member of the Swallows Chapel Church of Christ.
She was preceded in death by her mother Mary Lou Perdue; husband Leon Allred; and sister Christine Riley.
Surviving relatives include her stepdaughter Gayle Leibrich of Livingston; cousins, other family members and friends; and family members of Swallows Chapel Church of Christ.
Serving as pallbearers were Josh Danner, Zack Beason, Darrell Beason, Phillip Reeder, Justin Reeder and Jimmy Sherfield.
Velma Lucine (Ward) Davis

Velma Lucine (Ward) Davis, 72, of Cookeville passed away Jan. 29 at Cookeville Regional Medical Center. The family chose cremation without memorial services.
Velma Lucine (Ward) Davis was born Sept. 8, 1940, in Overton County, where she lived most of her life. She was a licensed practical nurse and a member of Church of God.
She was preceded in death by her parents William Herman and Linnie (Pryor) Ward; daughter Sherri Anderson; and brothers Robert Allen, Dullis, James Carlen, Harold and Charles Ward.
Surviving relatives include her husband Billy G. Davis of Cookeville; sons Eddie Glen Davis and Joe Anderson of Cookeville; stepsons Curt Davis of Rickman, Scott Davis of Ft. Myers, FL, and Gary Davis of Elander, TX; sister Geraldine England of Livingston; 11 grandchildren and nine great grandchildren; and a host of nieces, nephews, other family members and friends.
Arrangements were provided by Livingston Funeral Home.
Betty J. Holt
Betty J. Holt, 77, of Alpine passed away Jan. 28 at the Livingston Regional Hospital. Funeral services were held Jan. 30 from the chapel of Hall Funeral Home of Livingston with Bro. Donald Cobb officiating. Interment followed in the Green Hill Cemetery in Alpine.
Betty J. Holt was born April 27, 1935, in Alpine.
She was preceded in death by her parents Robert D. Sr. and Gladys (Smith) Todd; husband Herbert Holt; daughter Pamela Holt; and aunt Dorothy Sells.
Surviving relatives include her daughter Patricia McKenzie (Lester) of Cookeville; sons Wayne Holt of Alpine and Timmy Holt (Marilyn) of Jamestown; brothers Robert D. Todd and David Todd (Janie), both of Alpine; sister Katherine Clark (Darrell) of Algood; grandsons Robert Holt (Becky) of Rickman, Cody Holt (Heather) of Clarkrange, Matthew Holt of Cookeville, Scottie Warden (Amanda) of Jamestown and Matthew Warden (Michaela) of Jamestown; nine great grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.

James L. “Jim” Webb, 98, of the Pleasant Ridge community in Rickman passed away Jan. 27 at Livingston Regional Hospital. Funeral services were held Jan. 30 from Pleasant Ridge United Methodist Church with Bro. Jim Rogers and Bro. Randy Neal officiating. Interment followed in the Pleasant Ridge Cemetery.
James L. “Jim” Webb was born Sept. 12, 1914, in Overton County. He worked in maintenance for the Overton County Board of Education. He was also a member of Pleasant Ridge United Methodist Church.
He was preceded in death by his parents John and Fannie Parragin Webb; wife Mary Elease Looper Webb; and son James Howard Webb.
Surviving relatives include daughters and sons-in-law Geraldine and Ernest Garrett of Livingston, Wyndline and Harvey Farris, Betty Owens, Marcia and David Eldridge, all of Cookeville, and Sharon and Randy Sevier of Rickman; sisters Opal Webb of Monterey and Ona Wilson of the Cedar Chapel community; and 11 grandchildren, 13 great grandchildren and five great-great grandchildren.

Foister Bowman, 88, of Livingston passed away Jan. 31 at Overton County Nursing Home in Livingston. Funeral services were held Feb. 3 from the chapel of Speck Funeral Home in Livingston with Perry Allen officiating. Interment followed in the Oakley Cemetery.
Foister Bowman was born July 16, 1924, in Rutherford County. He was a logger and attended Rickman Freewill Baptist Church.
He was preceded in death by his parents Isaac Thomas and Fannie Alice Allen Bowman; son Foister Edmond Doyle Bowman; brothers Center, Lafayette, Willis, Emmitt, Clyde, Russell, Walter, Ezart and Perry Bowman; sisters Callie McKinney, Auda Zalud and Vauda Harris; and son-in-law James J. Bull.
Surviving relatives include sons and daughters-in-law Otis Bowman and Lisa of Cookeville, and Danny Bowman and Pam of Livingston; daughter Hennie Alice Bull of Livingston; sisters Genola Bryant, Nellie Blair and Cora Stanley, all of Ohio; and 15 grandchildren, 44 great grandchildren and three great-great grandchildren.

Mabel Reed, 94, of Livingston passed away Jan. 28 at Bethesda Healthcare Center in Cookeville. Funeral services were held Jan. 30 from Zion Hill United Methodist Church in Rickman with Bro. Roy Tudor officiating. Interment followed in the Zion Hill Cemetery.
Mabel Reed was born June 11, 1918, in Overton County. She was a homemaker and also cooked for the Meals On Wheels program. She was a member of Bethlehem United Methodist Church.
She was preceded in death by her parents Loyd and Mary Lynn Stockton; and husband Floyd Reed.
Surviving relatives include her stepdaughters Helen Hunt-Rigdon and husband Charles of Ft. Walton Beach, FL, Linda C. Tudor and husband Fred of Old Hickory, and Gail Arney and husband David of Cookeville; and niece Paula Freeman.

Joyce Elizabeth Pardue was born April 9, 1938, in Randolph, VT. She was a homemaker and a member of Fredonia Community Church.
She was preceded in death by her parents James and June Perry Owen; three husbands including James Robert Pardue; grandson Corey Brown; and sister Rhoda Rice.
Surviving relatives include her son and daughter-in-law Ralph and Shirley Brown of Livingston; daughters and sons-in-law Bessie and Roger Sheehan of Proctorsville, VT, Marie and Lawrence Woodward, and Tina and Andy Longe, all of White River Junction, VT, and Dee Pardue and Danny of Livingston; sister Eva Thomen of Livingston; and 10 grandchildren and 11 great grandchildren.

Funeral services were held Feb. 1 from the chapel of Hall Funeral Home in Celina with Bro. Ronnie Parsons officiating. Interment followed in the Spear Family Cemetery in Moss.
Ruth Elizabeth “Peewee” Endicott was born on June 14, 1938, in Celina. She worked at St. Johns Hospital for 30 years in Anderson, IN, and was a member of Church of Christ.
She was preceded in death by her parents Bedford and Beulah (Dunning) Spear; sister Cricket Spear; and uncle Winton Spear.

Danny Paul Reece, 62, of Livingston passed away Feb. 3 at his home. Funeral services will be held Feb. 5 at 2 p.m. from the chapel of Speck Funeral Home in Livingston with Bro. Jerry Buck officiating. Interment will be in the Fisk Cemetery in Hilham.
Danny Paul Reece was born March 30, 1950, in Overton County. He was a sawmill worker.
He was preceded in death by his father Grady Reece and brother Lanny Reece.
Surviving relatives include his wife Sharon Reece of Livingston; mother Reva Reece of Livingston; son Kenneth and Jenny Reece of Hilham; daughters Kimberly Scott and Kristy Phillips, both of Livingston; 10 grandchildren and two great-grandchildren; sisters Patricia Devers of Smyrna, Sandy Key of Rickman, Lydia Chilton of Clay County, Darlene Ogletree and Mary Clark, both of Rickman, Tina Melton of Clay County and Shelly Coffman of Livingston; and brothers Jerry and Johnny Reece of Allons.
