Board To Consider New GPA

The Overton County Board of Education is considering a proposal which proponents say will give students equal footing when it comes to competing for college scholarships.

Livingston Academy counselor Vanessa Farris told the board during a work session last month that using what’s called a weighted GPA to determine grade point averages would be better for the students in Overton County.
