Hollis Denzel Hummel, 76, of Allons, passed away Feb. 14 at Livingston Regional Hospital. Funeral services were held Feb. 17 from the chapel of Livingston Funeral Home with Bro. Darren Shell officiating. Interment followed in the Willow Grove Cemetery.
He was born in Clay County. He loved his family, loved to watch wrestling, fishing and working on lawnmowers. He really loved and enjoyed his grandkids.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Ernest and Lorene Wright Hummel; and brother, Donnie Ranzel Hummel.
Surviving relatives include his wife, Ann Hummel of Allons; son, Jeff (Crystal) Hummel of Lafollette, Tenn.; grandchildren, Justin Montana (Jessica) Hummel of Yelm, Wash. and Charleigh Elizabeth Hummel of Livingston; great grandchild, Stella Christene Hummel; brother, Melvin (Betty) Hummel of Allons; sisters, Yevonna Smith of Anderson, Ind., Brenda Huffer of Livingston and Glenda Harvey of Monroe; and several nieces and nephews.
Georgia Margret Ledbetter, 84, of Livingston, passed away Feb. 16 at Livingston Regional Hospital. Funeral services were held Feb. 19 from the chapel of Speck Funeral Home with Bro. Nolan Cantrell officiating. Interment followed in the Oakley cemetery.
She was born in Overton County on Oct. 13, 1932. She was Baptist in faith and loved her family and grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by parents, Ben and Edna Oakley Smith; husband, A.B. Ledbetter; brother, McCoy Smith; and sisters, Anna Ray Stockton, Clara Nolan and Willa Frances Smith.
Surviving relatives include her son, Ricky (Janice) Ledbetter of Livingston; grandchildren, Levi (Kayla) Ledbetter of Rickman and Jada (Drew) Coyler of Algood; great grandchildren, Paisley and Ceily Colyer; and special caregivers, Jean Allen and Patricia Sullivan.
Pallbearers were James Huddleston, Landon Staggs, Mike Copeland, Kenny Adkins, Levi Ledbetter and Corey King.
Billy Joe Matthews
Billy Joe Matthews, 74, of Livingston, passed away Feb. 15 with his family by his side at the Livingston Regional Hospital. Funeral services were held Feb. 18 from the chapel of Hall Funeral Home of Livingston with Bro. Nolan Cantrell officiating. Interment followed in the Overton County Memorial Gardens.
He was born in Livingston on Dec. 29, 1942. He worked construction as a mechanic. Billy will be greatly missed by his family and all that knew him.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Robert and Ruby (Garrett) Matthews.
Surviving relatives include his wife, Louise Matthews; sons, Michael Joe Matthews and Mark Wayne (Kim) Matthews; sister, Mary Francis (Donald) Fleming; brother, Jerry (Barbara) Matthews; grandchildren, Brandon (Whitney) Matthews, Kelli (Jake) Smith, Macey Matthews, Megan (Levi) Cobble and Marcus Walker; great grandson, Ezra Davidson; and a host of nieces, nephews, family and friends.
Pallbearers were Zack Shaw, Zeb Shaw, Tommy Reagan, Jud Staggs, Dave McKenzie and Chuck “Squirrel” Lawerence.

Alan Key, 55, of the Timothy community in Hilham, passed away Feb. 3 at the Cookeville Regional Medical Center. Funeral services were held Feb. 9 from the chapel of the Hall Funeral Home of Celina, Interment followed in the Keen Cemetery.
He was born in Livingston and was a member of the Church of Christ.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Freddie and Rose Keen Key.
Surviving relatives include his daughter, April Mayer of Hilham,; sons, Jacob Parsons and Dalton Key; sister, Vicky Key; and grandchildren: Nicholas, Brannan, Tayler Mabrey, Dovie Rose, Bristol and Mason Mayer.
